What do we know about WWE 2K22 so far? We know that the game is expected to release in March 2022, against the October release trend. We also know that the game will have new controls, over 3,400 new animations, updated graphics, and a revamped engine. The game will also use new face-scanning technology. Publisher 2K Games claims that 85% of the players in the game have participated in scanning their character in the game.

WWE 2K22 release date goes against the fashion of October release

WWE 2K22 will be released on March 11, 2022, for PS5, Xbox Series X, Xbox Series S, PS4, Xbox One, and PC. A March release goes against the series' usual October ‘21 release trend, but it does fall in the run-up to Wrestlemania (which takes place in April) when WWE fandom is at an all-time high. We hope this extra time ensures that WWE 2K22 when it comes out, will be a truly great wrestling game.

There are several editions of WWE 2K22 to choose from. We've listed the differences between the editions and what you can expect in terms of pre-order bonuses.

Standard Edition. The standard edition of WWE 2K22 comes with the base game. In the physical copies of the game, players also get WWE SuperCard Limited Edition Cards: Rey Mysterio and Dominik Mysterio. With the next-gen editions of the standard edition (that's for PS5 and Xbox Series X), you also get The Starrcade '96 Rey Mysterio Pack, which includes a '96 Rey Mysterio playable character and Starrcade '96 Rey Mysterio Ruby MyFACTION card.

Deluxe Edition. The deluxe edition of the game comes with the following digital items:

NWO 4-Life Edition. The nWo 4-Life edition of WWE 2K22 is available digitally only and includes the following items:

Cross-gen bundle. The final edition is the cross-gen digital bundle. It contains the standard digital edition and comes with "dual-gen entitlement," which allows you to play on Xbox One and Xbox Series X/S, or PS4 and PS5. Next-gen also includes the Starrcade '96 Rey Mysterio Pack.

Pre-order bonuses

There are also pre-order bonuses that come with the standard edition and the cross-gen editions of WWE 2K22. If you pre-order these editions, you will receive the Undertaker Immortal Pack, which includes 3 additional Undertaker personalities, MyFACTION EVO cards for Undertaker, and MyFACTION Perks Bonuses.

The Undertaker Immortal Pack comes standard with the Deluxe and nWo 4-Life editions.

However, if you pre-order the Deluxe and nWo 4-Life editions, you will get access to the game 3 days earlier.
