Layton’s Mystery Journey
For all iOS, Android and Nintendo 2DS and 3DS puzzle gamers among us there will soon be a new adventure in the Professor Layton franchise; this time around the name of the game is ‘Layton’s Mystery Journey: Katrielle and the Millionaire’s Conspiracy”.
In this new game in the series Professor Layton is not the protagonist, which means a revolution for these long running series. Next to this, you can play this game in the following languages: Dutch, English, French and German. Layton’s Mystery Journey was released on July 20th 2017 and can be played on iOS and Android, but somewhat later this year this new Layton game can also be played on Nintendo 2DS and 3DS handheld consoles.
The story
As stated before, in this episode of the Layton series the Professor is not the playable character, but his daughter Lady Katrielle Layton, this is one of the reasons why the working title of this specific game was ‘Lady Layton: The Millionaire Ariadne’s Conspiracy’. In this game you will track down your missing father as Lady Layton. The game can be categorized as a ‘strategic puzzle game’. All the Layton games were a worldwide success; The Layton games were sold 16 million times from the time the first game in the series was released.
