“Another Pokémon Go game?”
You are probably familiar with the insanely popular game Pokémon GO. Whether it is because of the masses of people running across the street with a smartphone in their hands in 2016, or because you are an avid player yourself, you cannot escape from it. If you think that Rumble Rush is a carbon copy of Pokémon GO but with a new look, (fortunately,) you are wrong. The concept is actually nothing new; Pokémon Rumble Rush is the mobile successor of Pokémon Rumble, a game that was previously released on Nintendo Wii, Wii U and 3DS. This new mobile game can now be downloaded in the Google Play Store for free!
Get ready to rumble!
In Pokémon Rumble Rush, you do not get to play as a Pokémon trainer, but instead take on the role of the actual Pokémon. You start as a Rattata in the tutorial and can switch between Pokémon you have defeated. You will have to visit diverse islands, which also change very two weeks, to collect these Pokémon. The controls are simple; all you have to do is tap on the Pokémon on your screen to attack them. The coins you get for doing this are automatically added to your inventory. At the end of every road, a final boss is waiting for you. You can also upgrade your Pokémon using so-called Pokémon ‘erts’.
In-app purchases coming soon
Like most free mobile games, you will be able to locate in-game purchases in the Pokémon Rumble Rush shop. Here you can buy items with your Google Play credit and level up a lot quicker. The shop is not yet available, so keep an eye out for new updates on this blog page! Pokémon Rumble Rush will also be available on iOS devices soon and you will be able to use App Store & iTunes cards to purchase in-game credits.
