The update of the joined seasons of Cold War and Warzone is still fresh in our minds as the season with one of the most extensive changes makes way for a brand new season. With a complete new feature to help out your fellow Operators, it is perhaps one of the biggest updates for season 4. We can’t wait to dive into all the action!
Publishing date: 17-06-2021
When does the new season of Call of Duty begin?
The Call of Duty season s4 starts on 17 June 2021. Starting in Season Four’s launch week, you will be able to gift the Battle Pass within Black Ops Cold War, as well as any available Store Bundle that can be purchased with COD Points. This way, you can show your gratitude to your fellow Operators!
Everyone who uses the gifting feature for the first time during the first week of this new season will receive a free 60-minute Double Battle Pass XP Token. This also goes for the Battle Pass itself, so help a friend and both enjoy the benefits of gifting (more XP)!
What's new in the 4th season of Call of Duty?
Besides the introduction of the gifting feature there will be a LImited-Time EventL Ground Fall. During this event, players need to find and secure the new sat-Link stations to triangulate the locations of a falling satellite in Verdansk. So go look for the fallen satellites and receive exclusive loot and cash rewards! The rewards will be items such as Emblems, Calling Cards, a Satellite Weapon Charm, as well as some XP. When you complete all three challenges in Cold War or Warzone, you will receive an Epic Secondary Weapon Blueprint.
Let’s not forget the new Operator: Jackal! More about this character here. In addition, a new mode has been added!
New mode added in season 4
From the start of the new season, a new mode is added: the Verdansk Resurgence Mini. This mode is a bit-sized FPS survival experience. Normal rules of the standard Rebirth Island Resurgence apply. The first circle is skipped, so the games are shorter in length and there is a higher tier loot compared to traditional BR.
Map updates in COD season 4
Allover Verdansk, Red Doors have appeared. Every season, mysterious and supernatural things are introduced in the game. This time, it’s a teleportation feature. There are apparently no specific locations, but you will be able to sense a Red Door when you are close enough. This is because they send disturbing signals and vibrations, the noise intensifies when you get closer to the Door’s location. Once you enter a Red Door, you will be teleported to a random location. It’s worth taking the risk: sometimes you will be teleported to a Gulag-like room with valuable chests and loot.

What's in the Call of Duty Season 4 Battle Pass?
With a new season comes new weapons, new operators, blueprints, and maps, of course. But for those with a Battle Pass, there are even more perks associated with such a new season. You'll receive plenty of new weapons, character skins, blueprints and a host of other cosmetics, as you've come to expect from previous Battle Passes. A good investment for Warzone players and veterans alike. In short, with a Battle Pass in your possession, you can arm yourself a lot better for Season 4, for example, for the Battle Royale mode. More XP, more rewards, so why not do it?
