Ameku MD: Doctor Detective

What if Dr. House was a young woman who loves to solve mysteries? Meet Dr. Takao Ameku, head of Investigative Pathology at Tenikai General Hospital. Her diagnostic and investigative skills are out of this world, just like her attitude and general immaturity. When a mystery presents itself, be it a vitamin overdose or a corpse with his leg bitten off by a Tyrannosaurus Rex, Dr. Ameku can’t help but jump right into it, astonishing everyone with her deductions while bullying her assistants. Ameku MD is one of the few anime with a medical background and it promises to be one of the most innovative and interesting shows of this season.

ZENSHU

Reaching success can be surprisingly easy, especially if you are a talented perfectionist like genius director Natsuko Hirose. Keeping success? Not so much. After her first anime work became ultra-popular, Natsuko is assigned a new work, a love story. Problem is, she is a secluded introvert who never experienced love, and is unable to come up with a storyboard. When she suddenly dies and awakens in the world of her favorite childhood anime, she discovers she has the power to bring anything she draws to life. This is the incipit of this story, chock-full of references to classic anime. Definitely worth checking out.

Honey Lemon Soda

High school was meant to mark the beginning of a new life for Uka Ishimori, whose shyness and lack of social skills made her middle school years a living hell. Unfortunately, on the very first week she gets accidentally splashed with soda by her classmate Kai Miura, who seems to be her total opposite. Where she is shy and demure, he is flashy and exuberant, with hair the color of a lemon. To her surprise, Kai forms a connection and slowly helps her become more confident and get out of her shell. Initially friendship is the only thing on Uka’s mind, but… could that budding feeling be honey lemon-flavored love?

Things aren’t made easier by the fact that the girl in question is his classmate Akane, who Saito hates with a passion (fiercely reciprocated). What to do? In the end there never was a choice, and both Saito and Akane accept to become married and to share a house - and a bed. Could anything go right when everything seems so wrong? There is only one thing the newlywed couple agrees on: their situation must be kept a secret at all costs! No one at school must even suspect.

I May Be a Guild Receptionist, but I’ll Solo Any Boss to Clock Out on Time

How nice it is to have a relaxing, secure job and not have to worry about anything. Alina Clover scored just this kind of dream job as a receptionist at the Adventurers Guild. At least, she believed it would be a dream job, until she discovered that due to the difficulty of taking down dungeon bosses, she has to work a lot of (unpaid) overtime to handle all the extra paperwork. Such is the frustration that she sometimes goes after the bosses herself, annihilating them with her Divine Hammer skill. Things get more complicated when someone discovers her secret, which could get her fired…

OKITSURA: Fell in Love with an Okinawan Girl, but I Just Wish I Know What She's Saying

Okinawa is a part of Japan, but it’s very far from the mainland and the language and local uses can be very different. Teruaki Nakamura experiences all of this firsthand, when he goes to Okinawa as a transfer student. He quickly develops a crush for his classmate Kyan Hina, but she only speaks the local language and he cannot understand a single word, if not for the translation help of another classmate. The differences can be overwhelming, as poor Teruaki discovers in a series of comical misadventures, like declaring his love to someone when he was only trying to call her. This is a fun and interesting series showcasing the beauties and peculiarities of Okinawa.
