Crash Team Racing Nitro-Fueled

Crash is back! The game we "retro" gamers always used to play has been remastered. Activision and Beenox say that they are very proud of the result. During The Game Awards it was announced that the game that was first released in 1999 will have its comeback in June 2019.

The game, also seen as the equivalent of Mario Kart, is a racing game in which you try to finish first with your kart and meanwhile bombard everyone with items. In short, a game to put your friendships to the test. Exactly as it was, only new

All the content from the original Crash Team Racing is back. So buckle up and enjoy a nostalgic ride with all the characters, tracks, arenas and Battle modes. The graphics are tuned up. The graphics are similar to the remake of the first three Crash Bandicoot games in Crash Bandicoot: N.Sane Trilogy. Thomas Wilson, Creative Director of Beenox: "We started playing Crash Team Racing on the PS1 to bring back the feeling of all those years back, and to experience once again why we love this game so much." And they succeeded, along with some extras such as new characters (we can finally play the bad guy Nitros Oxide, yay!), the upgraded soundtracks and new looks for karts and characters.

In addition to the improved graphics, Beenox has honored the audio in the original CTR. Thomas Wilson: “For example, the Dragon Mines. In the original soundtrack you can hear a harmonica, but it was really recorded with a synthesizer. Our Animation Director, Alexandre Lessard, plays the harmonica - he's an amazing blues artist - so he went into the recording booth to play that same melody with a real harmonica. You still have the same sound, but it feels more authentic. ”The original music and sounds have remained, but sound just a little bit better with the deeper musical layer and small adjustments that have been added.
