What is the Elder Scrolls Online - Blackwood Collector’s Edition Upgrade?
The Elder Scrolls Online is an epic MMORPG developed by Bethesda Studios set in the popular Elder Scrolls world, made famous by games like Skyrim and Oblivion. Unlike in those games, in The Elder Scrolls Online the player will be adventuring online in a massive land alongside up to 20 million players. For the first time, this game offers the player the ability to explore the fascinating Elder Scrolls lore with friends or strangers. Released in January 2021, Blackwood is potentially the ESO’s best expansion yet. The base game is required to play it.
Play However You Want
The Elder Scrolls games have always been known for letting the player decide their own story, to go on their own adventures. It is entirely up to the player whether they want to be a mage, a thief, a warrior or whatever else. The Elder Scrolls Online is no exception to that. Build, fight, craft, steal, siege: it is up to you how you desire to play the game. The ESO is set in the expansive world of Tamriel and lets the player go pretty much wherever they want in it immediately, discovering its secrets and saving the world from oblivion.
A Multiplayer Experience on Xbox One / Series X|S
Although the Elder Scrolls Online can be played solo, it is better played with friends or even strangers. Gameplay consists of a wide variety of quests, events and free-roaming exploration of the ESO’s massive world. Up to four players can join a party and experience the mystical wonders of Tamriel together. You should be advised of the importance of party synergy though, as mixing classes properly will greatly help you succeed in quests.

It is a time of unprecedented strife in Tamriel. Four years ago, in 2E 578, an arcane explosion of energy in the Imperial City set off mystical aftershocks that swept across Nirn. Mages died or went mad. Supernatural abominations from the plane of Oblivion, the Daedra, appeared in greater numbers than ever before. The constellation of the Serpent grew so large that it dominated the night sky. So began the grand scheme of Molag Bal, the evil Daedric Prince of domination and enslavement, who it will be your goal to help defeat.
Explore the New Blackwood Chapter DLC
The Blackwood Chapter continues the adventure by letting the player explore a new side of Tamriel, containing over 30 hours of new story content. In Blackwood’s main storyline, players will investigate a conspiracy that involves the deposed Longhouse Emperors and uncover a deadly pact that reeks chaos for the people of the new zone, Blackwood. On top of that, it includes the Elder Scrolls Online’s new companion system, letting players recruit and fight with NPCs.
