Grand Theft Auto VI for PlayStation

What is Grand Theft Auto VI?

Grand Theft Auto 6 is the long-awaited new instalment in Rockstar Games' hugely popular open-world series. This time, the story follows Jason Duval and Lucia Caminos, two criminals whose lives become increasingly complicated when a seemingly simple job goes wrong. Caught up in a criminal conspiracy stretching across the state of Leonida, they have to rely on each other if they want to make it out alive.
GTA VI brings the series back to Vice City, but this is far more than a return to the familiar city from previous GTA games. Vice City is now part of the much larger state of Leonida, giving you a new open world filled with cities, beaches, wilderness and plenty of colourful characters. GTA 6 will be released for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S on 19 November 2026.

Explore Vice City and the state of Leonida

Vice City is at the heart of GTA VI, with its beaches, nightlife, luxury hotels and neon-lit streets, but your adventure won't be limited to the city. Leonida also includes the tropical Leonida Keys, the faded coastal town of Port Gellhorn, the wetlands of Grassrivers, the industrial area of Ambrosia and the wilderness of Mount Kalaga National Park.
Throughout Leonida you'll meet criminals, entrepreneurs, musicians and other characters whose stories cross paths with Jason and Lucia. Rockstar's fictional take on modern-day Florida combines glamorous locations with the strange and unpredictable side of life in the Sunshine State, creating a varied setting for the next Grand Theft Auto adventure.

What can you expect from GTA 6?

GTA VI builds on the open-world formula that made the series famous. Follow Jason and Lucia through a new crime story while exploring Leonida at your own pace. Drive through the streets of Vice City, travel beyond the city and get involved with the people, businesses and criminal underworld found throughout the state.
The game has been developed specifically for the current generation of consoles, allowing Rockstar Games to create a more detailed world than in previous Grand Theft Auto titles. On PlayStation 5, Grand Theft Auto 6 also supports DualSense controller vibration and trigger effects, Remote Play and PS5 Pro enhancements.

What is new in GTA 6 compared to GTA V?
