Information
What is Life is Strange: Double Exposure for Xbox?
Our favourite time-manipulating photographer, Max Caulfield, is back for another thrilling adventure in Life is Strange: Double Exposure. Some years have passed since the events at Arcadia Bay shown in the first game, and Max is now a resident student at the prestigious Caledon University. One day the body of her friend Safi is discovered in the snow. Murdered. Shocked, Max tries to rewind time, a power she has not used in years, to prevent her murder. Instead, she unlocks the power to switch to a different reality, where Safi is still alive. And still very much in danger. Players will have to use Max’s newfound power to jump back and forth between realities, collecting clues to solve Safi’s murder in the original reality and prevent her death in the alternate one.
What kind of game is Life is Strange?
Double Exposure promises to be another successful narrative adventure in the Life is Strange series, offering players impactful choices and multiple endings. Players can expect an emotional narration and gut-wrenching choices, which is why this game series is so much loved by fans. Life is Strange: Double Exposure is a single-player adventure game with no multiplayer, where the outcome of the story depends heavily on your choices during the game.
What does this release include?
The Standard Edition of Double Exposure has no extra content, all you are going to get is the base game. If you would like some additional outfits, or even early access to the first chapters, you may want to buy the Deluxe Edition or the Ultimate Edition. Both are readily available here at Gamecardsdirect, the one-stop gift card shop.
How is Double Exposure related to previous Life is Strange games?
Double Exposure is a direct sequel to the first game in the series, showing us Max’s life a few years after the cataclysmic events at Arcadia Bay. Depending on her ultimate choices at the end of the game, many things in her life could be quite different. Is she still with Chloe, or did she let her go? What happened to her friends and to the town’s residents? The dual realities in this game may very well be alternate timelines created by the Big Choice in the first game, one where Chloe is still with Max and one where she isn’t. Certainly, several old characters will make at least a brief appearance, for the joy of all nostalgic fans. Whether they have some part to play in this story, that remains to be seen.
Can you play Double Exposure if you have not played the first game?
Yes, most certainly you can. There will probably be references to past events and characters, no doubt, but such knowledge will not be required to understand and play Double Exposure. That being said, though, playing the first game is recommended not only for increased understanding of some story details, but because it’s an excellent game well worth the time.
