Fire Emblem: Fortune’s Weave is a single-player strategy game that combines tactical battles with an extensive fantasy storyline. The Dagdan Empire is ruled by the gods and is at the height of its power. In the capital, Dagsion, powerful warriors from across the empire gather for the Heroic Games. The eventual winner is granted one wish. Five years later, however, the empire is at risk of falling after the return of Balor, a resurrected demon god. The four heroes who played an important role during the Heroic Games have disappeared. At the request of the goddess Sothis, you therefore travel back in time. With the powers of the goddess Fortuna, you try to change the heroes’ fate and bring them together for the final battle.

Follow the stories of four heroes

In Fire Emblem: Fortune’s Weave, you follow four main characters, each with their own goal. The heroes are: Cai, Dietrich, Theodora and Leda. You can only control one hero at a time, but you can play through all four storylines alongside each other. Between matches, you can switch between heroes. Progress in each storyline is saved separately, so you can decide for yourself in which order you experience the different events.

Fight strategic battles

Battles in Fire Emblem: Fortune’s Weave take place in turns, in other words, they are “turn-based”. Before each confrontation begins, you select your units and decide on their starting positions. You then move your fighters across the battlefield and attack enemies using weapons, magic and special techniques. A good strategy is important. A character’s class determines, among other things, which weapons they can use, how far the unit can move and which abilities are available. The terrain and the position of your opponents also play an important role. Combine close-range attacks with ranged weapons, magic and counterattacks to defeat your opponents. This also makes the game a tactical RPG.

Control your army with the Joy-Con 2 mouse controls

Fire Emblem: Fortune’s Weave is the first Fire Emblem game to support the mouse controls of the Joy-Con 2 controllers. These controls allow you to quickly select units, move them across the battlefield and view information about characters and enemies. While playing, you can easily switch between the traditional button controls and mouse controls.
