What is Grand Theft Auto VI?

Grand Theft Auto 6 is the next chapter in Rockstar Games' legendary open-world crime series. The story centres on Jason Duval and Lucia Caminos, two criminals who find themselves in serious trouble after a job that should have been straightforward takes an unexpected turn. As they become entangled in a conspiracy reaching across the state of Leonida, they must work together to survive and find a way out.
GTA 6 takes players back to the famous streets of Vice City, now reimagined as part of the expansive state of Leonida. Beyond the city lies a vast world of tropical islands, coastal towns, swamps and wilderness, all waiting to be explored. Grand Theft Auto VI is scheduled for release on 19 November 2026 for Xbox Series X|S and PlayStation 5.

Discover the world of Vice City and Leonida

The bustling streets of Vice City are just the beginning of your adventure. From its luxurious hotels and lively nightlife to its sun-soaked beaches, the city offers plenty to discover. Venture further into Leonida and you'll find the tropical Leonida Keys, the coastal community of Port Gellhorn, the marshlands of Grassrivers, the industrial surroundings of Ambrosia and the rugged landscape of Mount Kalaga National Park.
Along the way, Jason and Lucia encounter an assortment of criminals, ambitious business owners, entertainers and other memorable personalities. Inspired by contemporary Florida, Leonida brings together the glamorous and the bizarre, creating a world where unexpected situations can arise around every corner.
