This month’s PlayStation Plus Monthly games vary greatly in age, ranging from a collection ot Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles from the early ‘90s to the latest Dragon Age Veilguard, released just a few short months ago. In between runs Sonic Colors Ultimate, remake of one of the best Sonic games ever. The games will be available to download from March 4 until March 31, don’t miss them!
The latest entry in the long-running Dragon Age franchise, Veilguard is a massive RPG with lots of dialogue and choices that will affect the story. Players control a customizable character, Rook, and together with several AI-controlled characters are tasked to prevent a pair of ancient gods from destroying the world. Talk about an easy task! One of the main points of the game is getting to know your companions and doing their questlines, thus upgrading their fighting skills. It’s nice when characters are well fleshed-out instead of being just some stereotyped figures. It’s rare to get an AAA game so early after its release, enjoy!
Sonic Colors is one of the best games about the blue hedgehog, and this remake brings fast-action fun to the PlayStation. This time around, Dr. Eggman is enslaving cute little creatures known as Wisps for his nefarious plans. Said Wisps can empower Sonic with different abilities, like climbing some walls or running underground. This feature makes navigating levels more interesting, since with each collected Wisp new pats open up for our favourite blue speedster. This remake is very similar to the original Wii version, with some quality of life upgrades that make it a must-play for all Sonic fans.
The Cowabunga Collection is a mind-staggering bundle of 13 different Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles games for retro consoles released between 1989 and 1994. Some of these games achieved legendary status among fans, and all are challenging and entertaining. This is some retrogaming at its finest, enhanced by modern improvements like save state support, the ability to rewind and even some online multiplayer. And there are tons of artwork, too! If you like the pizza-loving reptiles you can’t miss this humongous collection. Pizza Power!
