Peter Parker and Miles Morales are back on our PS5s for an amazing new adventure. The long-awaited sequel to 2018’s Marvel Spider-Man is bigger, larger and stronger than its predecessor. Some time has passed since the first game, and our friendly neighbourhood Spider-Men are finding a balance between their personal life and superhero antics. But life is never that easy, especially when you wear a spider costume. As someone used to say, with great power comes great responsibility (and a lot of trouble, we’d like to add). Soon our heroes find themselves threatened by a certain powerful black symbiote and Kraven the Hunter, not to mention several other villains with smaller roles. Will their webs keep together a strained friendship? We are going to find that out very soon!

Fly around NYC with web-wings

Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 is a PlayStation 5 exclusive. As such, it can take full advantage of the PS5’s outstanding features, first of all the blazing-fast SSD. With loading times being almost non-existent, players can travel through New York City in the shortest of times, switching between characters in different parts of the city or simply zooming around with the newly introduced web-wings. It’s a good thing, too, because the city just got bigger. The map is the biggest in all Spider-Man games, now also including the Queens and Brooklyn.

Spider-Men come in all sizes

Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 comes in two flavours. The Standard Edition is just that, the base game and nothing else. Then there is the Digital Deluxe Edition, which includes 10 extra suits for both Peter and Miles, additional Photo Mode items and 2 extra Skill Points. In addition, you can get some more goodies and early unlocks if you preorder the game before the release date. A Collector’s Edition also exists, featuring a steelbook and a statue of Venom fighting the Spider-Men about 50cm tall. Good luck finding it, though… this kind of product usually goes sold out immediately after preorders begin.
