UPDATES

There are a few specs given by Microsoft during the E3 around Project Scarlett. It is said that the console(s?) are ready for 8k gaming and 120fps. Furthermore, the possibility to use SSD memory and the console(s?) will have GDDR6 SD-RAM. The Anaconda would be the more 'beastie' of the two, for the hardcore gamers. For those on a slightly lower budget, the Lockhart will be released. Together with the new consoles, Halo Infinity will be released along side of them.

The Hololens 2.0

During the Microsoft Builds on May 6 this year, Microsoft already released a demo for the Hololens. At least, that was the intention. Unfortunately, it didn't go exactly as planned (starting at 52:19), so sadly we were left demo-less. Would Microsoft see a chance to demonstrate the Hololens 2 during E3 without complications?

Hololens 2.0

For now the Hololens 2 is too expensive for the average gamer, around 3500 euro. The Hololens 2 has been developed for companies, but who knows what the future will hold for us. One that is a bit more affordable? Yes please!

Anaconda and the Lockhart

During the E3 we can be sure that the new consoles from Xbox will be shown. No technical specifications so far, but we can certainly see the performance of the consoles in the demonstrations they are going to give. According to Brad Sams (author of the Thurrott news site), the lack of technical specifications is due to the fact that we have to wait at least a year before we get a release. It could also be a strategic move to prevent Sony from getting to much info on the specs, simply to overrule it in their turn.
Xbox Project xCloud

Streaming service: Project xCloud

We get to see more of the streaming service that Microsoft is working on: Project xCloud! Many of us are excited, because it will completely change the gaming industry. What we know so far:

  • The service will offer more than 3500 games for the Xbox One, Xbox 360 and original Xbox;
  • The games that appear on this service do not need any adjustments (useful fact for the developers);
  • The beta is expected later this year.

There is a good chance that the release date for both the beta and the official service will be announced during E3.

New games

This is the part that we are very excited about: new games! In a row what we expect to see at E3:

  • Gears of War 5
  • Cyberpunk 2077
  • Ori and the Will of the Wisps
  • The Outer Worlds
  • Halo: Infinite
  • Fable 4

We have also learned from sources that something new is coming from FromSoftware (developers of Dark Souls, Bloodborne and Sekiro). Many details are not yet public or even confirmed, but: it has something to do with George R.R. Martin, something about open world with RPG. It is a good start, right? We will have to be a bit more patient.

What are you looking forward to during the E3? Are you the first one to know everything that has been shared or are you waiting till it hits the other media? Do you have news about E3 that we absolutely must share with everyone? Let us know!
