What is Drag x Drive?

This sports game, developed exclusively by Nintendo for the Switch 2, combines the intensity and challenge of wheelchair basketball with a futuristic setting and gameplay. From solo mode to (online) three-on-three matches, anything is possible in Drag x Drive. Choose from various game modes, play both offensively and tactically, and win! This is a sports game unlike any other due to its game modes, the amazing setting, and of course because no other game has ever been based on playing in a wheelchair.
Discover a whole new way to use the Joy-Con of the Switch 2, namely in mouse mode. This game is an absolute challenge for both beginner gamers and pros.

Can you customize your player and wheelchair?

You can choose from three types of players in Drag x Drive: Guard (first to get the ball), Forward (the true all-rounder of the court), and Center (a big player who is not afraid of a fight for the ball). You can fully customize your player and their wheelchair however you like.

What modes can you explore in this game?

In Drag x Drive you can choose from many different ways to play. Challenge yourself to get good at them all, so you become unbeatable in all types of matches.

• Public Park – Play online with other players by joining matches and playing mini-games. Achieve various park records and earn plenty of park rings.
• Friend Park – Choose your own park or play in the park a friend has designed. Distribute the players in a park however you want, you control a lot in this game. Also use GameChat to talk to your friends while gaming.
• Bot Games – Simulate three-on-three matches with computer-controlled bots. Set the level of the bot battles yourself. Unlock special helmets by defeating bots at the highest level.
• Minigames – Play all kinds of mini-games, such as racing through checkpoints scattered across a park, grabbing the ball before other players do, and scoring as many points as possible within a certain time.

Suitable for 1-12 players

You can play Drag x Drive solo, for example when playing against AI-controlled players, but you can also play training and some mini-games alone. In the (online) multiplayer, you often play three-on-three, but certain mini-games can be played with up to 12 players.

Do you need a Nintendo Online subscription for this game?

Yes, you need a Nintendo Online subscription to play the game, but only if you want to play online. Of course, we also sell Nintendo Online subscriptions in our webshop. If you want to play this game locally, no subscription is needed.

Can you also play this game on the first Switch?

No, this game has been specifically developed for the Nintendo Switch 2 and cannot be played on the first Switch console.
