The story of this new chapter in the Fire Emblem universe is about the mercenary Shez, who must save the continent of Fódlan from ruin before a conflict between the three nations tears it apart. New stories unfold, you will meet various (new) characters, and you will have to make strategic decisions in order to triumph in this video game adventure.

What makes this experience stand out as an action-based strategy game is the following:
- At the beginning of the game, you will be asked which of the great powers of Fódlan you wish to join. Choose the Blue Lions, a group of true soldiers. The Black Eagles, a noble group who wield magic. Or opt for the Golden Deer, who may not have one specific focus but can still prove very powerful. Your choices will change the course of the adventure.
- Do not rush blindly into battle, but choose your fights strategically. You are in full control in this Fire Emblem experience. Lead your team to victory in your own way.
- At your team’s base camp, you can take a break, build relationships, look for ways to adjust your strategies, discover new weapons, recruit new characters, and more.
- You can experience this adventure solo, but you can also team up in local co-op mode with another player to strive for victory together. This makes the experience even more strategic and challenging.
