What is Metroid Prime 4: Beyond?

Metroid Prime 4: Beyond is a new instalment in the adventurous Metroid Prime game series. This game is available for both the first and second Switch. The Switch 2 edition also includes various interesting additional gameplay elements.

The story

In MP4, you once again take on the role of the ruthless female bounty hunter Samus Aran. In this new adventure, Samus ends up on the planet Viewros, an overgrown jungle world full of challenging, hostile creatures. You’ll encounter the Lamorn, a people who once lived on Viewros and have an important request for Samus. You’ll also meet Sylux, a bounty hunter with a deep hatred of the Galactic Federation and of Samus herself.

New in this fourth Metroid Prime title

Metroid Prime 4: Beyond introduces several innovations:

• The planet Viewros is wild and dangerous - The world features multiple thrilling environments such as: lush jungles, arid desert areas, industrial sites, icy laboratories and volcanic zones.
• New “psychic” powers - Samus can use these to activate mechanisms, influence objects with her mind and solve various interactive puzzles.
• The vehicle Vi 0 La - With this motorbike/speeder, you can travel across the vast landscape of Viewros much faster and more smoothly.

This exciting adventure is available for both systems.

• Version for the first Nintendo Switch: this version of MP4: Beyond works on the original Switch and is backward compatible, so also playable on the Switch 2. Additionally, you can purchase a special Upgrade Pack, so you can still benefit from all optimised features on the Switch 2. This pack is available in our webshop.
• Switch 2 edition: this is a separate, advanced edition that works exclusively on the Nintendo Switch 2 and is not compatible with the first model.
