Bleach: Rebirth of Souls is the latest fighting game set in the universe of Bleach, released for the Xbox Series X|S. It is a fighting game where players select one of the many Bleach characters and face many opponents with their Zanpakuto swords. The game can be played alone or with a friend, offline or online (in which case an active Game Pass subscription is needed).
How is the fighting in this game?
The sword fighting in Bleach: Rebirth of Souls is very polished and highly tactical. Each character has its own set of moves, allowing them to excel at a certain distance but be less effective in other cases. So players must gauge their opponents and find the perfect distance to parry or avoid attacks while dishing out fast or powerful attacks. Sidestepping is a common technique that, when properly executed, will allow back attacks for massive damage. Just like the anime, it is possible to temporarily reach the awakened Bankai state to obtain a great boost to speed and attack. With very flashy moves, spectacular final attacks and wonderful anime-like graphics, Bleach: Rebirth of Souls is a feast for the eyes and a joy to play, certainly a treat to all Bleach fans.
