In the Netherlands Wero will completely replace iDEAL starting in 2026. This is not the case in all European countries. The roll-out of Wero in the Netherlands will begin in early 2026 and continue into 2027. The transition will be gradual, with an adjustmentnperiod during which payments will partly be processed via Wero before eventually moving fully to Wero. As a user of direct online payments you do not need to do anything. This transition will be handled for you. Be cautious of scammers who claim you must take action yourself!
