The kemono are angry. They are Wild Hearts’ monsters, once peaceful beasts who are now on a rampage. Although you only play as a visitor, Azuma is in dire need of your help. You must stop the monsters from wreaking havoc and bring back balance to the world. The kemono are all unique but terrifying in their own way, wielding the power of nature to reshape their surroundings to suit their monstrous needs. You will encounter creatures of all sizes, from plant-infused squirrels to massive beasts who all have their own devilish fight patterns. Will you manage to avoid Deathstalker's frozen strikes? The nearly unstoppable charges from Kingtusk? Facing a fire-wielding Lavaback, what will be your battle plan? And watch out for the path of Earthbreaker—how will you ever defeat this giant?

To defeat the kemono you will need to learn their weaknesses and how to best use the weapons at your disposal. Rumour has it that you carry the power to use the ancient karakuri technology, a collectable resource that allows you to build tools and structures to deploy in battle and around Azuma. For example, you can use the Karakuri skill tree to build useful upgrades like the Wind Vortex to glide high across the sky, or the Launcher that can be used to fire objects into the distance.

Play with Friends or Hunt Solo

Multiplayer is fully incorporated into the Wild Hearts experience, although the game is also completely playable single-player. The multiplayer allows you to team up with strangers and friends to hunt down kemono. Not to mention, Wild Hearts offers both open maps for you to explore together or missions for you to hunt down specific monsters. Simply open your map, hover over the kemono you want to fight and request assistance to start Wild Hearts' multiplayer mode. It’s great fun hunting monsters alone as well though, so never fear if you have no friends or a slow internet connection!
