What is Doom - The Dark Ages?
Doom - The Dark Ages is the latest entry in the renewed trilogy of games that started with Doom 2016 and culminated with Doom Eternal. The story of the fight against the forces of Hell was concluded in Eternal, so what happens in Dark Ages? The series spins on its heels and goes back in time, to the days between the ending of Doom 3 and the beginning of Doom 2016. Players controls the Doom Slayer, a super powerful and nearly unstoppable soldier, practically a walking tank. The gameplay reflects this shift in force, removing the agile platforming of the previous games in favor of a slow, deliberate progress. Everything in the Dark Ages feels ponderous and strong, granting players an unparalleled feeling of power. Here there is no jumping, rolling, dodging… here you stand and fight, and walk over anything in your path!
What is new in this game?
This new Doom game is not fast paced like the previous entries. Instead, the combat is slow and deliberate, the Doom Slayer an unstoppable armored machine of destruction. The game provides several new weapons and support equipment to mow down enemies:
- The Skull Crusher: kind of a shotgun that uses fallen enemies’ skulls as ammo, crushing them and firing the shards at high speed
- The Shield Saw: a shield with a spinning serrated edge. It can be used to block enemy attacks, or be thrown against enemies, damaging anything in its path.
- Atlan: a humanoid machine 30-storey high, mainly used to kill Titans
- Cyber Dragon: a mount for the Doom Slayer, capable of shooting fireballs and flying

The Standard Edition of the game only includes the base game, with no extras. We also have the Premium Edition, which includes additional content.
