What is Splatoon Raiders?

Splatoon Raiders is a brand-new action-adventure game set in the colourful Splatoon universe. Arm yourself with ink weapons, equip mechanical gadgets and take on waves of Salmonids as you venture deeper into unknown territory. You can play this title locally or online with up to three other players.

What makes this Splatoon game unique?

Previous mainline games, such as Splatoon 2 and Splatoon 3, did include a single-player campaign, but this mainly served as an addition to the online multiplayer mode. Splatoon Raiders, on the other hand, is the first Splatoon spin-off and the first game in the series in which the story mode is the main mode. Nintendo explicitly describes the game as a "single-player focused" adventure.

Different game modes

This game features several game modes.

• Single-player adventure - Play as a mechanic and explore the mysterious Spirhalite Islands. Collect treasure, defeat Salmonids and uncover more of the story as you explore new areas.
• Treasure hunting and upgrades - Take the loot you find back to your camp to improve your equipment. Equip yourself with new mechanical gadgets and powerful ink weapons before setting out on another expedition.
• Online and local co-op - Team up with up to three friends and hunt for treasure together. You can play both online and via local wireless multiplayer.

Can you play this game on the original Switch and Switch 2?
