What is Game Builder Garage?
With Game Builder Garage you get the chance to develop your own video game. You follow workshops in which you learn step by step how to create something unique, assisted by the Nodon, a group of small creatures who live in the game and give you useful tips while programming your own game creations. Once finished, you can save your creation and even share it with others. The possibilities are endless with this title for the Nintendo Switch.

What makes Game Builder Garage so special is that within an existing game you bring something new to life yourself. You learn how a video game is structured, develop something entirely personal, can play the game solo or in local multiplayer and share your work with the rest of the world. Through play you learn the basics of visual programming, how cool is that?! All ages can get started with this game builder, as there is always something to learn. In addition to being enjoyable, it is also educational: you discover step by step how creating a good game works.
How many people can play?
Game Builder Garage is suitable for one player, but also up to a maximum of eight people in local multiplayer. There are also online options for which you need a Nintendo Online subscription. If you go online with your Switch console you can share your own creations and download the creations of other players. We sell these subscriptions in our webshop.
Can you also play Game Builder Garage on the Switch 2?
Certainly! Thanks to backward compatibility the title is fully playable on the Nintendo Switch 2.
