What is Kirby Air Riders?

Kirby Air Riders is an exclusive title for the Nintendo Switch 2 console. You cannot play this on the original Switch. This is not a classic Kirby game where you only play through a story from A to Z, but an action game starring the cute, chubby, pink Kirby and his friends. Choose a character, pick a cool ride for on the ground, in the water, or in the air, and go into battle solo or in (online) multiplayer mode. Don’t be thrown off by the chaos, speed, and challenges of this game. Race through beautifully rendered environments, outpace your opponents, and win!

What game modes does this game include?

• City Battle – For example, zoom through the Skyah area, a floating island. First roam freely to improve your vehicle and take part in a match in a real stadium at the end. It’s a mix of exploration, upgrading your racing vehicle, collecting power-ups, obstructing your opponents, and finally a championship match.
• Air Ride – Race to the finish! This is a classic racing mode. You choose a character, a type of car, boat, or plane, and also a racetrack to get started on. Race your way to the finish while obstructing your opponents à la Mario Kart, but don’t forget that your opponents will also try to throw you off.
• Topcross – Choose compact races that you only see from above on your screen. You play this mode in split-screen if playing with others (online). Because you can see everything clearly from above, you must race more strategically, as your opponents can also see what you are doing and planning. This mode is a real challenge.
• Road Trip – Don’t expect typical Kirby gameplay in this story mode, as you’ll still be racing! By entering and winning various matches, you progress through the story. This mode also includes cutscenes to support the storyline. Meet a mysterious life form, Zorah, who seems to be connected to the creatures and other elements in the world of Kirby Air Riders. In Road Trip mode, new and familiar Kirby characters make their appearance.

You can play Kirby Air Riders in different ways.

On one game system: 1–4 players
Local: 2–8 players
Online: 1–16 players
