Mario Kart Deluxe 8: Wave 6
Mario Kart Deluxe 8 has been entertaining players with its diverse selection of 48 tracks and engaging gameplay since 2017. Now, over 5 years after its debut, it is still improving and getting larger. In March 2022 the Booster Pass DLC was released, promising to actually double the game in size by adding 48 more tracks, carefully selected from all previous Mario Kart games and remastered to today’s graphical and gameplay standards. The DLC only costs €24,99, meaning that the cost for a single course is as low as €0,52!
The tracks have been released in 6 waves of 8 tracks each, from March 2022 to November 2023. Let’s have a closer look!

Please note: If you want to play the tracks online, you will also need a Nintendo Switch Online subscription. You may also consider purchasing the Nintendo Switch Online + Expansion Pack Subscription, which in addition to the basic subscription gives you access to a few extra goodies, including the Mario Kart 8 Deluxe Booster Pass.
The first 4 Waves
On day one Wave 1 was immediately available to players upon the release of the Booster Pass DLC in March 2022. It was only the first of many to come, and contained the following tracks:
Golden Dash Cup

- Toad Circuit (Nintendo 3DS)
- Choco Mountain (Nintendo 64)
- Coconut Mall (Wii)
- Tokyo Blur (Mario Kart Tour)
- Shroom Ridge (Nintendo DS)
- Sky Garden (Game Boy Advance)
- Ninja Hideaway (Mario Kart Tour)
A few months later, in August, Wave 2 came around. Eight more courses were added:

- Kalimari Desert (Nintendo 64)

- Sydney Sprint (Mario Kart Tour)
- Snow Land (Game Boy Advance)

Then, in December, Wave 3 was released and eight more courses were added:

Wave 6 is here!
In November 2023 the 6th and last Wave has been released too. As usual, it features 8 courses grouped under 2 cups. In addition four playable characters have been added: Funky Kong, Diddy Kong, Pauline and Peachette. Also included are 16 additional Mii racing suits, a bonus Daisy racing suit (unlockable by scanning a Daisy Amiibo) and a Music Player feature. These are the new cups and courses:
