What is Pokémon Legends Z-A?

Pokémon Legends Z-A is the newest spinoff in the Pokémon universe, coming exclusively to Nintendo Switch. As a "Legends" title, this game steps away from traditional gameplay to introduce a unique storyline and fresh mechanics. Set entirely in the vibrant Lumiose City, based on Paris and known as the capital of the Kalos region, the game follows the mystery behind spontaneous Mega Evolutions that send Pokémon into a frenzy. What’s behind this strange behavior? Get ready to uncover the truth in this urban, action-packed Pokémon adventure.

What content does the Mega Dimension additional content provide?

This DLC will provide the following content for Pokémon Legends Z-A:

Holo-X and Holo-Y Apparel Sets - Outfits for the main character, available at launch on October 16, 2025
Additional story content - An extra story chapter that will be released by February 28, 2026

Additionally, all players who purchase this DLC before February 28, 2026 will receive a Luxurious Poké Ball Set as an Early Purchase Bonus! It is a set of 12 special Poké Balls in four varieties, each especially suited to catch a certain kind of Pokémon.

What will the additional story be about?

After the end of the main story, some spatial distortions begin to appear inside Lumiose City, leading to the mysterious Hyperspace Lumiose, which is apparently where the Mega Evolutions originate. The DLC will see the return Mythical Pokémon Hoopa, and will introduce two Mega Evolutions for Raichu: Mega Raichu X and Mega Raichu Y.

Does the Mega Dimension DLC work on Switch 2?

Yes, just like the base game, the Mega Dimension content will work flawlessly on both consoles. And if you are playing on the Switch 2, maybe purchasing the Pokémon Legends Z-A Switch 2 upgrade at Gamecardsdirect, the DLC will benefit from the extra graphical capabilities of the new console.
