• Board Game: The classic board game mode of this series, where up to 4 players compete against each other. You move across a game board and collect stars by winning mini-games.
• Partner Party: Play in two teams of 2 players each. You can move freely across the entire game board, but you must think strategically to win.
• River Survival: Play with up to 4 players in a co-op mode. Work together to navigate down a river while completing mini-games along the way.
• Sound Stage: In this mode, you play various mini-games to the rhythm of music.
• Challenge Road: A special single-player mode where you are challenged to complete different mini-games and challenges.
• Toad’s Rec Room: Engage in various mini-games that creatively use the Nintendo Switch console.
• Mariothon: A series of mini-games where you must achieve the highest score.
• Online Mariothon: This mode allows you to play online as part of an internet mini-game competition.

You can also play this game online, but the gameplay is then limited to playing a series of mini-games without the board game element. To play this mode, you need a Nintendo Online subscription, which we also sell in our webshop.
