What is “WarioWare: Get it together!”?

WarioWare games have a long history of microgaming successes since their debut in 2003. Get it Together is the first game in the series for the Nintendo Switch, and takes full advantage of the console’s capabilities. In this game, players will control Wario himself and a lot of other characters from the Wario games in a series of very quick and silly microgames.

What genre is this game?

Get it Together is a party game, a collection of microgames to enjoy with friends and family. There isn’t much plot to this kind of games, nor any overly complicated features. Just simple, often ridiculous tasks to be performed in a very short amount of time controlling a random character, which is great for a lot of laughs with friends.

What kind of gameplay does WarioWare: Get it together! provide?

As stated above, this is a collection of microgames. So you and your friends will be called to perform a lot of different tasks, like tweezing out the hair from a statue’s armpits, squeezing some toothpaste on a toothbrush, and other outrageous actions. There are several game modes available, some of which can be played solo in case you’re itching to play but don’t have anyone nearby. These are the available modes:

• Story Mode: This is the main mode where players progress through stages, clearing microgames to unlock characters and other modes. It can be played solo or with a friend in local co-op.
• Variety Pack: This mode offers a collection of different microgame challenges for 1-4 players. Some examples include:
•   Bounce: Players must keep a ball in the air, hitting it only when it matches their color.
•   Daily Grind: A mode where players grab contracts and navigate a crazy commute to the WarioWare office, avoiding hazards.
•   High Five: A volleyball-inspired game with unexpected twists like character swaps.
•   Duelius Maximus: Players compete head-to-head to clear the most microgames.
•   Balloon Bang: Players take turns clearing microgames while an opponent inflates a balloon.
•   Sly Angle: Players use flags to create the most triangles on a board.
•   Rising Star: Players work together to clear microgames and earn stars.
•   Puck 'er Up: Players score in air hockey to play a microgame.
•   Frenemy Frenzy: A mode focused on fisticuffs.
•   Friendless Battle: An endless mode where players take on waves of enemies until their health runs out.
• Missions: This mode allows players to earn coins by completing objectives across all other game modes.

Can I play this game online?

Warioware: Get it Together doesn’t have an online multiplayer feature in the traditional sense. All microgames can only be played locally, but once the Story mode is finished players will unlock the Wario Cup, the game’s online ranking mode where your score will be listed and ranked against the scores from other players all over the world. To access this feature, a Switch Online subscription is needed. You can also find it in our webshop.
